The Bunkhouse

Enjoy waking up to the beautiful East Texas sunrise.  The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, 4 burner stove, coffeemaker, and toaster.  Pots, pans and dinnerware are also provided.

Billy and Jan’s old room.  (Poppie and Nana)  The family always enjoys telling stories of “Wild Bill Bailey” and all of his crazy adventures.  Billy always made a big entrance with his loud speaker installed on his old Chevy pickup.  Jan stayed frustrated with him on many occasions.  One time, Billy came home late and told Jan he had been kidnapped and held for a ransom.  He actually thought his story was believable.

Bob and Carlene’s old room:  (Popo and Nonnie)  Bob started working for Lone Star Gas in 1950 and retired in 1993.  (43 years)  Carlene worked for the First Baptist Church in Palestine for 17 years for a total of 30 years as a church secretary, or as Bob would say, “The Church Momma”.
